Give me the low down
Remember that time you were searching the internet for “how to rest your iPhone” and Google thought you wanted to know “How to Raise Your I.Q. by Eating Gifted Children?” (Easy mistake, right?) Well, it turns out that Google tries to guess what you’re going to type all the time using a function know as autocomplete. And sometimes the search engines get’s it amazingly wrong so much that it becomes quite amusing at times.
Why, just why?
We simply loved reading funny and stupid things that people searched for online so much that we decided to build a site around it. Hey, why not, there’s a market for it, right? We thought so anyway. Plus our moms said we needed to be a little more creative.
How does the autocomplete function work?
The best person to ask is Google. But the basic gist is: Google tries to finish your search query for you in the hope of making search faster and more officiant. This is done buy using searches that other people are searching for.
Man, your site totally kicks ass!
Yeah, we know, right?
I totally found a funny search that isn’t on the site. What do I do?
Simply use the form on the Submit Page and we will do the rest. We may even thank you and buy you a slice of pizza.
How can I help you guys out?
Spread the word. Spread the word of our site like a yeast infection. If that fails, just tell us we’re awesome. We could do with the confidence boost.
